Calling all Christian women who are looking to develop their relationship with Jesus - the Ecclesia Bible Study Journal is here! With sections for personal bible studies, group studies & church sermons.
Keep reading for a breakdown of each section:
Personal study:
~ (S) scripture: write down the bible passage you read & pick either the key verse that stood out to you or one which you would like to look deeper into, read the verse a couple of times and/or memorise it.
~ (O) observation: what is the [context] of the passage you just read? how did it apply to the believers/non-believers at the time? how do you interpret it? can you find [cross-references]/are there any other bible passages that helps you to further understand this one?
~ (A) application: how does the verse/entire passage & its teaching apply to you today? is there anything you can do to live out what you learn’t? reflect on what God has taught you.
~ (P) prayer: ask God to help you live out His word, sometimes the passage we read may not ‘feel’ special or like it applies to our life right now, in these moments maybe just ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and intercede for you (Romans 8:26).
Group study:
~ These pages give you space to write down any notes you pick up on during your church connect group discussions.
Sermon notes:
~ key points: note down the points which stand out the most to you (or you can scribble everything down - up to you sis xx)
~ scripture: keep the bible verses separate from the main text to refer back to easily! (tip: draw connecting lines to join them up to their corresponding topic)
~ application & prayer: to write into after the sermon/service has finished - what can we reflect on & thank/ask God for?
~ worship songs list: i’m not sure about you but i’m definitely that girl with her phone out recording mid-worship hahaha! I just love noting down new songs to later add to my music playlist - now my journal’s got my back
